What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a learning state. While in Hypnosis with the guidance of a Hypnotherapist we are showing our mind what the future looks like and in outer awake state our mind will search for it. Our subconscious does not understand the difference between reality and fantasy, it takes the new information at face value, it creates new knowns. Which is why Hypnotherapy is known for helping individuals access and overcome deeply ingrained patterns of behavior or thought that may be difficult to change using other methods.
How does hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy works by inducing a more hypnotic state or trance, which allows the Hypnotherapist to access the subconscious mind and reprogram negative beliefs.
Who can benefit from hypnotherapy?
Anyone who wants to overcome negative thought patterns, behaviors or emotions can benefit from hypnotherapy.
What is the difference between the conscious and subconscious mind?
The conscious mind is responsible for logical thinking and decision making, while the subconscious mind controls automatic and emotional responses, most of those we are not consciously aware of.
How can hypnotherapy help with core beliefs?
Hypnotherapy can help identify and reprogram negative core beliefs that may be holding you back from reaching your full potential.
Will I remember my Hypnotherapy session?
Contrary to popular belief while in Hypnosis we are fully aware of everything around us. There's nothing a Hypnotherapist can make us do without our permission.
Are the changes permanent?
Yes. Some challenges are resolved with a couple sessions and the deeply rooted can take longer. With Hypnosis a change always follows. Limiting beliefs are replaced with enabling beliefs. Coping and defence mechanisms are replaced with healthy mechanisms. We change and therefore everything around us changes with us. People go and new people enter our lives that align with who we have chosen to become.
Is everyone hypnotizable?
As a Kappasinian Hypnotherapist my answer is always yes. A literal suggestible will have a different experience than someone who takes in information though inference. Both Hypnotizable through different tools.
What's the effectiveness of Hypnosis?
Research by American Health Magazine found that Hypnotherapy has a higher rate of effectiveness in comparison to Psychoanalysis and Behavior
Therapy. Psychoanalysis yields at a 38% effective recovery rate after 600 sessions. Behavior Therapy yields at 72% effective recovery after 22 sessions.
Hypnotherapy yields a 93% effective recovery after 6 sessions. On that note I must add that in some cases in order to work with a Hypnotherapist, a licenced Therapist must be a part of the recovery team.
Why do we have dreams after a Hypnotherapy session?
The changes through Hypnosis do not take place in the session but in our dreams. We have three stages of dreams: Wishful, Precognitive and Venting. In the Wishful stage our mind sorts out and files the new information. In the Precognitive stage it takes the new information and tries to predict the future. In the final stage it vents out our old life script.
Why do we keep repeating our experiences?
Homeostasis. Our subconscious is keeping us within our life script, the script that was created from 0 to 8 years old, though identifying, associating and responding. Let's say when you were a child you pet a dog and that dog bites you, as an adult every time you see a dog, even a puppy the emotional charge of that first experience takes over your body and all you see is that monster that attacked you. Around 8 to 10 years old we start forming reason, logic, will power, determination and analysing. That's when we start figuring out there's no Santa and no tooth fairy, we start having an opinion and a sense of what we like. We also starting to create the filter (Critical Factor) between our conscious (12% of our mind power) and Subconscious (88% of our mind power). Every time we want to achieve a goal or break a pattern, that thought goes from our conscious to the critical mind and if there's not a known association in the subconscious, it gets rejected. To make it even more simple after 10 years old we stop perceiving and start projecting our lives. Through Hypnosis we change our life script, we change our present and our future. Think of a Hypnotherapist as the reprogrammer of the subconscious mind.
What if I am skeptical about hypnotherapy?
It's normal to have doubts about hypnosis work, but keep an open mind and give it a try. Many people have found hypnotherapy to be a powerful tool for change.
